From Monday 12 September to the end of the academic year, Learn to Rock will be working with the children at Clayton Village Primary School providing an after school Musical Theatre club.
Please see the details sent out bu the school to parents for more information about this club and how to register your child to join.
Learn to Rock will stage the Musical Theatre performance on Wednesday 14 December from 5.30pm to 6.30pm at Burley Oaks Primary School.

On Wednesday 14th December the Burley Oaks Primary School Learn to Rock Musical Theatre Group will be presenting a performance featuring extracts from the Musical ‘Joseph and the Technicolor Dream Coat’.

YOUR CHILD HAS BEEN GIVEN AN INDIVIDUAL SCRIPT WITH THEIR CHARACTER ON. IF THEY ARE UNSURE PLEASE SPEAK TO HEATHER OR IZZY AT THE NEXT AFTER SCHOOL SESSION.
COSTUMES
All students should wear a plain brightly coloured t-shirt, black trousers, black socks and black shoes. Any bright colour can be worn (it was red and yellow and green and brown and blue…….. as the song goes!) as long as it is plain with no logos or designs.

Learn to Rock will be undertaking a Musical Theatre taster morning with the students in Key Stage 1 at Menston Primary School on Monday 30 January 2017 to launch our new after school Musical Theatre programme.
Information packs and application forms will be sent to parents that evening.
Parents are invited to enrol children for our new Musical Theatre after school programme at Menston Primary School which will start Monday 27 January and run until the end of the academic year in July.
Learn to Rock will be undertaking a Musical Theatre taster morning with the students in Key Stage 2 at Menston Primary School on Monday 6 February 2017 to launch our new after school Musical Theatre programme.

Learn to Rock will be contributing many fantastic Musical items to the annual Musical Soiree at Burley Oaks Primary School.
Including:
Reception Drumming Group
Year 4 Drumming Group
Drum Solos
Piano Solos and Duets
Vocal Solos, Duets, Trios
R and B Group

Alison Smith will be presenting the first in a series of masterclasses for parents and children at Burley Oaks Primary School highlighting some of the outstanding Drumming achieved by her students this year.
Alison will demonstrate how children learn the Drumkit and how the learning in Drum lessons contributes to increased and accelerated learning across the curriculum.
The masterclass will feature children performing as young as Reception right up to Year 6.
There will be the opportunity to see solos, duets, group work.
Alison will be explaining the rationale for warm ups, contextualised performance and ensemble work.
There will be the opportunity for children to volunteer to take part in some experimental work and perform.
We will be joined by Jack Hendy in Year 11 from Ilkley Grammar School. Jack will be assisting Alison with the Masterclass and will also be performing some pieces for the children to see what they can aspire to as they get older and more proficient on the Drums.
Parents will truly be impressed by what the children have achieved this year.
