Parent Testimonials
Sending my son Jack to Learn to Rock a few years back was one of the best things I could have done for him. Having the opportunity to be taught the Drums and Bass by Dr Alison Smith who has mentored Jack personally to become an amazing musician is the best investment we have made for Jack’s future as a musician.
Jack is developing into an amazing Drummer and Bass Guitarist. In the three years he has been learning he has passed grades 1 to 4 in Bass and Drums and with Distinctions, for a 12 year old we think this is a fantastic achievement and we are so proud of Jack.
Alison and her team of tutors are always so professional in their teaching.
Learn to Rock is not just another Music company they really are unique- with the work Alison and the team have put in with Jack, he really is striving to become a professional musician and music teacher. This is all he wants to do and with the help and encouragement from Learn to Rock we have every confidence they will guide Jack through every step to achieving his dream of going to a top Music college like many of the ex Learn to Rock students and having the chances to fulfil his dreams.
We cannot thank Learn to Rock enough with Jack’s life changing achievements. Learn to Rock has taught Jack how to study and practice and it has also helped him to develop great self confidence. He has made friends for life at Learn to Rock and every weekend we have his band friends at our house practicing devotedly the music they learn on a weekly basis in their Learn to Rock sessions.
We whole heartedly recommend any parent wanting the best Music tuition and guidance for their children to send them to Lean to Rock. In our experience of Jack having lessons with other music providers since he was 5 years old, Learn to Rock is way above all other tutors and companies in our experience for professionalism, quality of teaching, care for all their students and for building self esteem.

My four year old son James has just started to learn the keyboard at Learn to Rock and is really enjoying his lessons and looks forward to Tuesday evenings. His concentration levels are improving as a result of his learning and he loves to demonstrate what he has learnt to his Grandma.

My son Lucas has been attending ‘Learn to Rock’ for the last 4 years and he has absolutely loved it.
It has helped him develop into a lovely boy now aged 15.
He has learnt the value of team work and many other wonderful resources for life and we only sent him to learn to play the Bass Guitar!
I cannot recommend it enough for the sheer value of building confidence, self esteem and development through self discipline and enjoyable study.

My son has been learning the Drums with Learn to Rock for two years and we are extremely pleased with his progress.
All the teachers at Learn to Rock are so professional, patient and fun. Alison is not only a talented percussionist but is also an excellent teacher who clearly gets a lot of pleasure from teaching and performing with her students.
Communication at Learn to Rock is always excellent.
The concerts are of the highest standards. The Christmas and Summer concerts inspire the children to perform to a very high standard and are an absolute delight to attend.
Most importantly my son has a lot of fun learning and always looks forward to his lessons.

I am very happy to recommend Learn to Rock.
In the past I have employed Learn to Rock to deliver a music curriculum and extra-curricular programme for a new secondary school where I was the Deputy Head teacher.
Alison was highly knowledgeable in working with me to deliver a bespoke programme addressing our needs with clear objectives, costings and success criteria. She is highly experienced, passionate about the importance of Music education for students and very professional. I was confident that any challenge would be met and the outcomes delivered for the school, the parents and most importantly the students.
Three of my own children have enjoyed learning music with Learn to Rock during weekly sessions with their tutors. Learn to Rock tutors are young enthusiastic musicians and teachers, they are particularly good at communicating with the children and making them feel equally enthusiastic, valued and confident.
My daughters benefited greatly from regular performances with their instruments working at their own level. Belonging to a band, writing original songs and performing her own music live, as well as producing a CD album has been a wonderful experience for one of my daughters who has benefited considerably from these wonderful opportunities.

My daughter started Learn to Rock in year 5 and is still going strong in year 9. The quality of tuition is second to none and her involvement with the tutors and other students has given her a deeper than normal understanding of composition and performance. Her confidence has grown over the years and she is now an accomplished musician. The tutors have very high expectations of the students and as a result, the standards are very high.
