Check Out Our New Vocal Coach Mal Working with one of Year 10 students

It has been another great day for our Ilkley students. I put Mal, one of our new Vocal Coaches, on the spot by asking her to accompany on the Guitar with one of our outstanding Year 10 students and I also asked Mal to impro some harmonies. Great rendition, first attempt! This particular student will be famous one day!!!

Wow ….look at the progress Reece in Year 3 is making on the Bass Guitar. Here he is in lesson 4 where he is using RH walking fingers, crossing strings and fretting LH on a C. Listen to our talented Year 1 children at Dixons Music Primary singing their pattern song and playing the Djembe. They had lots of ideas for patterns but this was our favourite one.

One of our fantastic year 2 drummers has now perfected his rendition of a Rock School Grade 4 drum piece and will be playing it to the Chief Executive of the Dixons Group of Schools to try to earn the prestigious Chief Executive Award for Outstanding Musical Progress.
